It’s the countdown to the holidays and for some reason I’m just not feeling as much the holiday spirit as normal. It’s not that I’m not feeling joyful or thankful, I’m just not feeling Christmas-time festive.
In effort to embrace the holidays, I decided to start planning my holiday menu. What better way to celebrate the season than with food?
Christmas Day Menu:
Morning Time -
Start off the day on the right foot with Paula Dean’s French Toast Breakfast Casserole, Foodnetwork.
A big pot of coffee and a pile of hot bacon - breakfast is complete!
Mid-Day Snacking Time -
Cheese wedges, french bread, fruit and veggies
Buffalo Chicken Dip w/ Frito Scoops (I make this dip with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Frank’s hot sauce, blue cheese dressing, and Tyson’s canned chicken. Baked in the oven makes for ultimate addition snacking dip!)
Christmas Meal Time -
Standing Rib Roast (recipe alla Anne Burrell, Foodnetwork)
Pommes Chef Anne (Cook Like a Rock Star, Anne Burrell)
Sweet Potato & Apple Hash (Cook Like a Rock Star, Anne Burrell)
Green Beans sautéed w/ Bacon
Rum Cake (alla my mom!)
Lemon Ricotta Cookies (Giada De Laurentiis)
